Re: Internal monologue
I dunno. I figured I have an internal monologue, but now seeing that many people don't, maybe I don't? It can turn into words at time, and can disappear verbally just as quickly. Maybe those who say that they don't have an internal monologue don't think all that differently, just don't identify in t...

Internal monologue
I saw some post on reddit the other day that around half of people don't have an internal monologue in their heads, while around half of people do. And that it's hard for one half of humanity to understand how the other half thinks. Do you have an internal monologue? I guess there's the question of ...

Re: Mick Lynch
I've decided that's not a real thing/movie that happened and refuse to search it on the grounds of first principles. https://www.gannett-cdn.com/authoring/2014/09/11/NREP/ghows-OH-3af3d9a8-c0c0-438e-90e4-d56a97bf033f-fdfd101e.jpeg?width=500&height=300&fit=crop&format=pjpg&auto=webp Okay. Re: What are your thoughts and/or feelings on the possibility that conscious life is perpetuating itself through eternit
Since we're not too sure about what consciousness is, I suppose it can't be ruled out. Since we're not too clear on what time is, or if it exists fundamentally (I think that's right), can't rule it out either. I think we're sure on both counts. We just can't explain it. As I believe Gwen Stefani on...

Re: Mick Lynch
C. Because I am the tortoise. You can't be walking in the desert, then encounter a tortoise and turn it on its back, then also say you ARE the tortoise. That's just ridiculous even for someone who is paraphrasing a song that John Lennon and Paul McCartney wrote while tripping balls. That's what I t...

Re: AAA: Ask America Anything
Do I believe everyone should get free healthcare? No. Should people be required to report to a doctor once a year and meet minimum levels of health or be held criminally responsible for smoking or eating too much junk food or should they continued to be given coverage if they do things that known t...

Re: Mick Lynch
Now, Utisz. You're in the desert walking and you encounter a tortoise. You turn it over on its back. The tortoise lays on its back, its belly baking in the hot sun, beating its legs trying to turn itself over but it can't. Not without your help. But you're not helping. Why aren't you helping, Utisz...
Re: Tea
Comedy? Is that all the Famine was to you? You know, we went too many meta layers deep years ago and now we can't find the layer of reality where we can ask serious questions, or a question, seriously, especially since things like the "you can't joke about rape" rape joke crusades. How many potatoe...

Re: Mick Lynch
I hear Lenin was a fan. Googling that, I came across this gem. James Connolly, the greatest of all the proletarian revolutionaries to have been brought forth by the class struggle in the British Isles, was shot at dawn on May 12th, 1916. Anyone know any Marxists so they can kindly see about d...
