Re: Technical Issues

Also, any chance we can completely change the types of smilies we have in here?

Re: Positive lifestyle changes post-COVID

The other good news is I'm covid resistant now after multiple reinfections! I get over it in half the time. It's like a sport at this point, practice makes perfect. Eventually I won't get it at all, then the one month postviral inflammation timer will finally run out without a re-up and I can go ba...

Re: Rules and all that (feedback welcome)

I'm changing my mind on the no-contact thing. I think that in order to avoid abuses, justification should be offered to the mod(s), and it should be at the discretion of the mod(s) to grant the request, including when simply having to take the claimant's word for it. In general I am against people p...

Re: Rules and all that (feedback welcome)

I see it like a safe-word for when members have had enough. Previously people just left the forum. This gives them another option. I see the reasonless policy as liable to being expoloited by people who simply don't want their views countered by x, y or z. While I think this is in line with the sty...

Re: Rules and all that (feedback welcome)

I'm not trying to conceal my identity, but simply stated, if people here don't have an issue with stalking and trolling behavior after someone INITIATED a no contact request, I have no interest in posting here. I do not believe that there was any such policy as a no contact request at the other pla...

Re: Rules and all that (feedback welcome)

I feel like I've given this community as a forum multiple chances. To me it seems like the old guard (largely Generation Xers but I don't want to put all of them in the same basket) is very set in their ways and highly resistant to doing what is needed to make the forum thrive (not just for myself,...

I am a much better cook, to the point where going out for dinner is just an exercise in disappointment.
I've been watching Gordon Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares (some of the stuff on that show has not aged well, heh), and now I think I'm a lot less keen to go back to restaurants.

Positive lifestyle changes post-COVID

Have any of your new habits stuck? One change I added so as to add some variety to confinement was taking classes, and I will continue to do so on a permanent basis. It's nice to do something besides work all day. I also just started jogging, we'll see how long that lasts. I don't see myself going b...
