Re: Critical Race Theory

But you have no justification for that. You just went on a long tangent about knife crimes in minority communities as justifying higher rates of stop and search for certain ethnicities based on what exactly? What led you down that road? What made you think of that? The statistics published by the H...

Re: Critical Race Theory

Regards structural racism in the UK, there is no evidence whatsoever that it exists. I think this is a very strong claim that I doubt is true. While I don't know of specific evidence off-hand, Google leads me to some reliable-looking statistics (for the UK, from gov.uk websites) that to me constitu...

Re: Critical Race Theory

To explain my thoughts on this matter, I probably need to first add some context. I am white, working-class, and grew up in the worst part of one of the most run-down cities in Europe during the 1970s. I experienced a dreadful education and was fairly poor. My great-great grandparents (male line) c...

Re: The uneasy partnership of feminism and trans rights

Wow, same old people calling for the destruction of Christianity and men to be included in women's sports (like that's normal) :elementary: I forgot you have superior revolutionary genes than me. TERFs gonna TERF, I guess. Do these words even have any real meaning? Back in 1755 when the great work ...

Also I'm Jewish. Madrigal seems to think I'm a Zionist, but that part isn't true. I'm not sure where she got that idea from.
Are you not one then?

Re: Rules and all that (feedback welcome)

What is the policy regarding misinformation about Covid, QAnon, bogus stories about the oppression of white South African farmers, or Holocaust denial (I don't care what people say about certain foreign government and listen to Chapo Traphouse regularly, but holocaust denial is a different story)? ...

Re: Rules and all that (feedback welcome)

I see the reasonless policy as liable to being expoloited by people who simply don't want their views countered by x, y or z. While I think this is in line with the style of a moderated comments section of a publication, for example, I think it goes against the spirit of forums. But a lot of the th...

Re: Covid news and views

It's getting a bit tiresome now. As someone with autism that is also extremely introverted I have no problem with social distancing (big improvement for me) and a lack of social contact. However I do like to eat out, travel and got to pubs, and I need to travel for work. My last trip was two weeks ...
