Consciousness is NOTHING! It's just outside stuff making some kind of impression, to a certain extent that some random person decides, on something else. It's a spectrum, from the sun fading paper to Einstein. Feeling is the interesting thing.

It's impossible to get into a good session of pretend because of the constant reminders that it's pretend. Nice safeguard against people with a propensity to confuse real from pretend, and in case the AI misses a cue that things turned real, but it's not always what a person would want.

Alabama had a nitrogen gas execution that was, by all accounts other than the attorney general's, botched. Clean with pine sol, the brown one, not lemon or lavender. Then brown some chopped meat with onions in a frying pan. The combination smells like perfume! But I need to try it again to confirm.
