Re: Neurodivergence & INTPness

I don't think it's the same thing. I think an INTP can be neurodivergent, but I don't think being INTP is the same as being neurodivergent. I think neurodivergent is more a term for people with autism, ADHD, or executive function disorders. I have lots of thoughts heh So It's commonly said that 'be...

Re: Neurodivergence & INTPness

I don't think having an INTP personality is the same thing as being neurodivergent. It might be a rarer personality but I think neurodivergent is more about how your brain actually works. Like does it impact your ability to do everyday things that aren't a problem for other people? I'm not sure tha...

Re: What are you reading?

And, I reiterate, the essays are short. It seems like everyone who writes essays about science/philosophy just goes on and on until you’re bored to death. You could read one of these essays on a short bus trip and really get some food for thought. Have you ever tried any Mary Roach? She’s excellent...

Re: The food and drink thread

Tried a new topping combo for my focaccia, and it’s amazing. Left third and middle are standard combos at this point: 1. Rosemary, coarse sea salt, fresh pepper, sundried tomato, heirloom tomato/basil marinated in white wine vinegar, garlic in the dough, fresh basil, jalapeños, and Parmesan. 2. Rose...

I have feelings about the fact that these channels exist at all, but damn it get your money. AKA: give these channels views and make corporations pay them to advertise. https://youtu.be/e6DZ4fzb6q0 https://youtu.be/y5OiZM0Wo-0 https://youtu.be/y7tamhciQys https://youtu.be/Bp6lJfzRjDs https://youtu.b...

That definition of neurodivergent seems tautological. You have to have a definition of typical for atypical to have any meaning.
Right? Which is why it’s so nonsensical that it carries a negative connotation.

Re: What are you reading?

The Name of the Rose is a pretty interesting story even without getting all the references. We had to read it for a class my freshman year and I certainly didn’t get them all, but enjoyed it very much. I just reread it actually earlier this year and I found I didn’t like it as much. His essay Interp...

Re: Neurodivergence & INTPness

Naw, neurodivergence (ND) definitely does not equal craziness. That ND label, I find, has negative connotations. But it’s not inherently negative; it’s just branded as such by the neurotypical (NT) masses. It’s interesting: I think a lot of INTPs take some pride in being rare, like 3-5% of the popul...
