Re: Little gusts of hot air that don't deserve their own thread.

I'm rarely an "expert" on anything but the topic of UCLA and USC leaving the Pac-12 for larger TV payouts came up and somebody is arguing that it was the commissioner's fault for signing a bad TV deal that was really oppressive to the schools. The commissioner may be crappy but the logic was heavily...

I'm trying massage for the tight muscles, but it hasn't helped yet. The massage therapist said it might take several more sessions to loosen up all the tension because everything is so tight.
Massages and acupuncture helped me immensely with my headaches. Even stopped a cycle of cluster headaches.

Zero Fail: The rise and Fall of the Secret Service by Carol Leonnig While the book brings up the formation of the Secret Service in the wake of the Lincoln assassination and touches on its function to combat counterfeiters and protect the president, it really starts in the early 1960 with the leadup...

Re: Product labels to test my eyesight

Vitamin or OTC drugs I can't make out too well. Most stuff I don't need to but I was curious about some fish oil tablets that someone had given to me and I was looking for helpful detail, like time of day to take or with or without meal, that sort of thing, and I couldn't make out the label.

Re: The food and drink thread

Does anyone have an enameled cast iron Dutch oven? If so, do you season it after each use? If at all, how often? How often do you use it? I would be suspect of any pots being vintage as it was around the 1970s when many enamels were leadbased, and that's one reason I still use a modern dutch oven o...

Re: Little Rants

Who knows browsers? So, I'm planning a trip for my old college roommate to meet me to see a college football game and a couple of baseball games out of state. I thought single game tickets were to go on sale this morning at 9 AM. Oh, no, 9 AM eastern, so that's 6 AM my time. Part of me was thinking ...

Re: AAA: Ask America Anything

Another question that was in the back of my mind (mostly for the U.S., but also for Canada or whatever country really): if you had to ask a foreigner a question to figure out whether or not they were born and raised in your country, what would it be? (Not a shibboleth ... not pronunciation based.) ...
