I've said it before but you should really try stuffed aubergines with minced meat and cheese.

Re: What are you reading?
Weird as it it may seem I am working my way back through the King James Bible. I am not especially religious, however I think you can't properly appreciate he canon of English literature and Western culture in general without having a working knowledge of he bible, Shakespeare and Plato. For Wester...

Re: AAA: Ask America Anything
Oh, wow, just one more reason not to like Catalans. You know, it totally makes sense. All these Mediterreanean cultures that like making a show of abundance are usually very friendly and likeable people. Stingyness I find is a spiritual problem. Food-related things my Spanish grandparents used to s...

Re: A Math Thread
I never really got imaginary numbers, but knew the rules. I haven't had to deal them them in a long time. But how I understand them is that the real number line is like 1D, and imaginary/complex numbers give you a pseudo-2D. So you can describe things about 2D shapes like circles using them. Probab...

People here are very careful with money. I remember being scolded by a Catalan for not looking at the prices of melons b...

Re: What are you watching?
It's on Dailymotion under Brasseye.
Strangely enough one of his most famous victims - MP David Amess MP as Morris announced him - was stabbed to death by a Somali terrorist recently. This was part of the sketch:
He actually raised a question in parliament about it.

Re: What are you watching?
The bizarre and dark comedy of Jam. I am not sure why I never watched the series before. I generally love Chris Morris's 90s/early 2000s work. It is quite different to Brass Eye, less frenetic, more... I think Morris himself described it as aututmnal. Still, it has some classic sketches, I found thi...
Re: Low carb
A milanesa has bread though on the outside? Potatoes are high carbs also. Also of you have a napolitana the cheese is high carbs (lactose). My impression is South American cusines are quite carb heavy, even more the farther north you go, but this us because many people work physically demanding jobs...
