Infinite blood is a bold claim. ℵ₀ is a lot of blood to render.
Basically the blood makes the textures of the ground, walls, bodies, etc, change. It can be changed an infinite number of times. Usually games would use "decals" where each blood splat is a separate quad.

Is it just me or is the site super slow (as in laggy) these days?

Not just you. I don't think it ever timed out though. You just have to give it a few minutes sometimes. Just now it took about 20 seconds.

Yeah, I've had several failures to load in the last few days.

Don't know if it's relevant, but I'm usually trying to get on around 12-3AM USCDT.

I just took ages to log in. I don't think Utisz has checked in recently, I'm going to ask him about this.

The more than 100 users on this forum now may be the problem. It's slower than ever.

I'm really sorry it took so long to get to this, but hopefully should be okay now.

Is this forum being targeted by bots for a DDOS attack?

Basically (most of these detections require subscription to monitor the site.)

When I logged into the VM today the CPU was choked up again with php and mysql processes.

I checked access logs and I don't think it's a (D)DOS issue, but I banned three I.Ps with over one hundred thousand requests in the last week. That's not a lot of requests, but if they were bursty (I didn't check in detail), it might explain the issue. I'll try to keep an eye on it. If it happens again, there's always more options.
