I think I just discovered the cd that was playing constantly at a country buffet I worked at (a Golden Corral that was about a decade late in closing the doors)
An Asian spam bot was posting on a FB group claiming Alan Jackson (who was shown with a cowboy hat and I connected the dots to that "restaurant" music) had died which was likely a common thing to do because he has a neurological condition (Charcot-Marie-Tooth disorder) that caused some of his recent performances to be postponed or canceled, though it seems he also has a lot of fake reports of his death which is what was being exploited on social media.
Update: The same page was hit by a stream of fake Japanese name accounts, who posted the same thing, but went further and said McJagger died 6 minutes ago!
