It's intended to emulate something like the Astrohaus E-ink keyboard or the Alphasmart hardware. It just commented to the creator that it would be cool to have an offline mode (and that attempting to save it for offline use doesn't work) and that it would be neat to have a way to save the file as a basic text format with spacings.) Whether or not this is actually any better than writing in Wordpad, etc; it probably isn't. . .
I'm reminded I just need to get back to using the Alphasmart Dana. I also intended to read a bunch of books, etc. I have too much crap I've been thinking of doing, and have yet to implement it.
Here's a sample of the kinds of things I type into the Alphasmart and just had it input into Microsoft Word.
It's kind of crap without any real motive behind it.

Sometimes the only way to escape society is by cutting yourself off from it. The desire to remove yourself from ever becoming reliant on societies’ purview, tends towards the acrimonious ascension into the quagmire of obsolescence.

Tempus Fugit (Time Flies)
The eye of a storm is what is warned,
Talked of in tales and seldom more.
Often it’s in daring; never faring
The weather that we fear most.
The wind of destiny sends up sails
Of life in a recipe, to be mixed
Unexpectedly; and towards a future
Unelectedly; though not unaware.
Chaos brews and chaos ensues,
With forward thinking; it’s a ruse.
Into the maelstrom, life is born
Untoward, blindly, into the storm.
Time flies out the window
Wonders why the somber intro;
Toast the town, with a frown
Towering over the broken ground.
