What are you watching?
Re: What are you watching?
Elon Musk wants to emulate what Milton Friedman talked about in an interview, where he would gut most of the government institutions, but the ideas presented are pretty much the same results that the GE CEO Jack Welch (which he jump ship just in time to put the blame on his successor, even though he was probably just the kind of ass kisser the company was left with after the environment became toxic for anyone that had half a brain cell.)
The Origin Of 'The World's Dumbest Idea': Milton Friedman
https://www.forbes.com/sites/stevedenni ... -friedman/
I was sort of glossing over Milton Friedman and wasn't sure to what extent he should be admired or hated, but I started to recognize how similar he is to the most destructive leadership in our country/world, and in many ways, he is the precursor to people like Jack Welch.
Hint: The legacy of sub-prime mortgages and Reaganomics (and further back, you could say that fiat currency under Nixon was a terrible legacy) screwed over Keynes and his warning of unregulated conscious awareness as such with the Glass-Steagall act, and is much of the primacy to "success" that is so often the same problem facing how people glorify wealth and destructive narcissistic behaviors as seen today.
How Jack Welch destroyed Sloan’s Century
https://globalpi.org/research/how-jack- ... s-century/
Short-term profits and long-term consequences — did Jack Welch break capitalism?
And once they are long gone they no longer seem to be recognized for the short-term myopic turds that they are unless people are forced to look in the rear-view mirror.

This was produced but directed by a different Director than the original Night of the Living Dead (which is truly a classic in it's own right,) though might be closer to the original than I actually recall. It seems like it might be somewhat better than the newer versions of other Romero movies.
I was just looking at it spontaneously, but it turns out the actor, Tony Todd, that plays "the black guy" (that in the original movie looks similar to Obama) had died; and no, he is not a zombie.

You can save the file but it will show as PHP which needs to be changed to mp4.
Tommygmcgee has practically become the new Vice News, but also. . . Nat Geo is taking on the Vice News style (which I consider MTV to have been a precursor to, if not "Gonzo Journalism.")
I've never heard of this guy ('Billionaire') Jarek Tadla, who is described as an "Internet personality."
Nat Geo has come a long way. . .

Re: What are you watching?
I was watching Lee Daniels' 'The PaperBoy' (2012) and noticed how awkward his directing style is, where every scene tries too hard to seem authentic to the point it just showcases his lack of Directing or editing talent and approach to telling a story, without confusing the fuck out of people with it's awkwardly forced interactions.
One review which seems to summarize it well:
"Call it Tennessee Williams by way of Jerry Springer."
https://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/the_pa ... cs-reviews
He did a documentary on Michael Jackson that has high ratings.
A 1994 'The Paperboy' might be even worse (though it's hard to believe, with similar ratings.)
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0110770/
Because both The Paperboy films are bad in their own way, I consider them "watchable" (laughable?)

This goes well with the Cave of Forgotten Dreams film in the previous post. Also, I assumed the old guy was Wilford Brimley (which would have made sense as he did Coccoon, which is sort of along the theme of an immortal or youthfulness, but it seems a similar-looking actor, named, Richard Riehle.

A month ago he posted this video but then the following video, as he's saying he feels safer walking around Russia than the USA, and that it's a great place (for what it is,) he soon get's pulled over or arrested and detained for information about who he is while commenting about how his video will likely get "Russian bots" or rather, people who literally get paid extremely little while also having a system that is designed not to pay them, where many are driven to suicide; according to those in Russia that are familiar with the "(pre-)occupation"
Russia is a shithole country no matter what part of it you explore, and their prized Stalin-era subway tunnel is just part of the Potemkin village persona people idolize so much.
Obviously, to some extant it should have been known by him that anywhere near a border Russia is afraid of foreigners, and it's assumed that their recording and documenting the perimeter of Russian territory could be a strategic spying (so the letting him on that everything is okay and that it's a minor inconvenience for him, and then having the FSB/KGB interact with him the next day after he's supposedly awaiting his physical passport confirmation, was a bit of a rouse.)

I was reminded of a lecture by an author who I previously glossed over, who had a book made into a movie:
https://www.goodreads.com/author/show/1 ... sell_Banks
Russell Banks is a pretty decent Author and has some movies based on his books. A very clear comparison to his message here (at around 32 minutes in) and his book The Sweet Hereafter (Russell Banks book from 1991) (1997 movie starring Ian Holms from LotR), where he compares the greed of business run by bean counters who knowingly put people's lives in danger while weighing the costs of liability to their business to that of predators.
Though the movie at times seems like a forced narrative with some weaker performances by less experienced actors, it takes some paying attention to how the story builds up, while seeming pretty clear how he wanted the story to be a knife in the back of crony capitalism (so the MacGuffin is how children were preyed upon in comparison to the Pied Piper who wanted to extract revenge upon those who refused to pay what they needed to ensure the safety of the town.)

The above newer story are considered woke compared to this one:
And a previous game to Bloodlines game also exists, which seems to have more in common with older PC games like DnD series.

Pretty good insight.
An old video playlist from someone that tampered with a telescope and claims to see aliens in outer space. Most all of these are probably aberrations caused by tampering with a telescope and not expecting lens anomalies to give sway to an apophenia phenomenon. If people are fantasy prone or prone to schizoid tendencies, it can lead to "false-postives."
