They could reference Edward Bernays as the original "Influencer." When the "Flappers" were beginning, Bernays manipulated them by promoting cigarettes as "Torches of Freedom." He used propaganda to promote unhealthy consumer habits, knowing full well the effects would be negative on society. A big aspect of the FOMO nonsense that creates an unstable and entropy-prone society (which is beginning to resemble the Utopia 25 experiment.) $35 trillion debt after having achieved a surplus, could only be possible if that surplus came about from the same irrational exuberance that destroyed our financial systems and ensured every post-modernistic delusion about how Keynesian economics works (who warned about tampering with inflation by fiat currency printing, comparable to a Ponzi scheme which may not be too different from when billionaires can leverage their business platforms using "philanthropy" as a PR scam, or by offsetting their business footprint "providing jobs" to ensure tax subsidies continue to go in their favor.)
Most of the modern issues are from the bloat from subprime mortgages and government socialized financial schemes designed to profit (Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, or likewise student loans are something that only work when the society has a purpose that isn't contrived and forced upon them.) And when the bubble bursts of course the banks get bailed out while the worker serfs who are told to accept whatever misleading claims they were promised when going to college, while the investment companies then pocket whatever systemic failure existed (dismantling actual capitalism in the process which functions as a checks and balances of processes that are inherently toxic to it's operation.)
A society that serves the people doesn't require algorithms and manipulation of numbers to determine what we should actually value. artificial and manipulative gimmicks would be the first to be destroyed in favor of authenticity because the people are capable of not being compromised by deciding to participate (instead of being exploited since the only place they can spend their money is in the local Walmart or whatever dystopian warehouse is forcing people to drive through their pothole laden roads because they gave all their taxes up to some bald-headed strabismus looking dude that wants to thank them for launching his giant cock rocket into space.

Re: What are you watching?
The first person was a dude that transitioned to female (and usually such people are unhinged and histrionic,) and the second video (22 seconds in) is Marshawn Lynch (the football player) who went to Berkeley and received an honorary degree from Princeton after he was invited to speak at their graduation ceremony in 2020. . . The incident was in 2022 and he was repeatedly making similar stupid decisions. Go figure.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marshawn_Lynch
Supposedly some of his reticence is explained in this.
The comments are interesting (basically critical of how they portray the corruption of Russians as oligarchs, whereas the Western 'capitalists' don't get the same recognition.)
Looks a bit like Gurdjieff (probably even a similar mindset of entrepreneurialism, but I wonder about the other stuff.)

Similar parallels to Walt Disney with the Rabbit; most people seem to forget where Matt Groening came from and just how much The Simpson's took over (North) American culture.

I had just posted about a car theft ring that was going on in the Dallas area, but this one is in Minnesota. It seems that music as well as other factors like accessibility to things on Amazon (which has a lot of illegal or borderline encouraging illegal behavior) which makes it far too easy for people to try and carry this out.
A pretty cheap game (less than $2 right now) that might be worth checking out and was kind of easily overlooked (I think I was looking for games like Half-Life 2 at the time and hardly had a computer capable of playing this in 2002.)
Probably the best way to see this game (supposedly the fighting sequences drag on?)
2:30 hrs instead of playing 30-40.
Review and context of time period and why it got overlooked (I assumed it looked too similar to Deus Ex, which the same people also made.)

As long as games ported to PC from console continue to be crappy "on rails" visual novels, I see no reason to want to play them. In whole you can watch the gameplay that totals 3 hours. . .
A little more interesting than I expected.
I'm starting to think most Asian-owned companies are run like crap (though that might just be a generality of most businesses and the motivation behind acquisition and profit incentive.

He's a generation older than Billy Mumy though. I checked Mumy's IMDB page and he's done recent acting. Weird that he didn't get braces in the 60s or 70s. This is a snapshot from him talking about his memoir in the video Harvey Brownstone Interviews Bill Mumy, Renowned Actor, Musician and Author, “Danger, Will Robinson”

One of the guys is hiding his face because he has a death threat from a drug lord, who more than likely already knows what he looks like, plus he authored 2 books, one of which purports to resemble him.

I was researching genealogy and a Colonial Canadian Governor claimed to trace his family back to the only survivor of early Protestants to Ireland, where Roman Catholics were extremely opposed (since apparently, the family was a Priest) and the infant was the only survivor after being tossed below to someone from a window, where they somehow upon growing up came to the conclusion they were descended from the nobility of Britain (which was more than likely an erroneous conclusion, since no such nobility existed at the time of the early 1600.) The context of the religious divide and nationalism has been an issue for Ireland for some time, though this video does make it more apparent of the ongoing problem, and strangely made alliteration to the Palestinians in Isreal, which I never thought of until now.

Around 21 minutes in (just fast forward to it) you can tell that Trump is eager to accelerate his record of $7 trillion deficit by allowing no checks and balances to loans that people won't be able to afford. . .) and then makes some comparison that fringes on conspiracy with the possibility his being shot at was all contrived for spectacle as a wink-wink to a blood sacrifice in Judaism where they splatter blood on the ear.

In the above video the company is Randigo, involved with aerial mapping. Over time such lasers are pointed out by reddit users, one of whom claims to have been a plane that someone was reporting and explains that it's designed for topobathymetric LiDAR, which in their case was used for a map company.
The technology is mostly for coastal flood plane planning.

Dumpster diving -> DVD's
Che (2008 film,) House of Cards Season 1-2, and many other well-known movies.
For some reason Avatar region 12--and not 15 or 18 which some also have--couldn't run, on either DVD or Blu-Ray, though I still have a 2 gig file for playback.)
I had a bunch of KPOP albums that are brand new and tossed away, which are listed online for around $30-40 (though upon listening to them I agree they are probably trash, despite what all effort was placed in marketing them, as they all had big booklets but were like 20 minutes of music (hence called a mini-album.)
1880s books such as John Milton poems, and a mini Catholic Prayer Book, and Dante Alleghieri's Inferno (which I originally assumed was older but is a 1948 book, that looks much older) along with some unread old but more modern paperbacks like Watership Down, Tolstoy's War and Peace (circa 1960s,) as well as pretty decent hardcovers which would normally go for about $20 considering they aren't being published anymore.
Yes, a lot of the stuff tossed out has no resale value, such as people bringing vintage Playboy (which might have some sanitary issues. . . similar to crap romance novels which probably had their fingers wet but not with their mouth as they turn the pages,) but also many other DVDS I collected were actually pirated and they printed out cover inserts for DVD cases (when they probably could have saved room and simply placed the disks in a larger case that holds hundreds.)
Also, a pristine dumpling cookbook that I overlooked while searching for them digitally (which I ended up downloading anyway,) but it was precisely what I was looking for.
I'm restoring the books because that was likely the reason they were tossed, but some of the stuff must have just been sitting on the shelf too long and had a bit of a niche audience (KPOP is pretty crappy, and you don't need to know the language to appreciate it.)
Also, old magazine style books that focus on gardening, cooking, etc. . . Which probably haven't seen the light of day for decades. . . I have a hard time letting them go to the landfill for some reason. . . I'm a little concerned I will be more preoccupied trying to preserve some things when I probably should have just taken heed of creating digital libraries and forgetting physical copies. I offloaded Crosstitch and similar crafting books (that the cover value msrp adjusting for inflation would probably be close to $200 easily, and which has evolved over time to where the historical aspects are kind of becoming obscured.) The problem is that also, people are stupid and even when something is actually interesting to them, they have very little regard for it. Even some crappy vinyl record with historical value is something people will gloss over, when someone else will pay thousands of dollars just to collect it (though the trick is finding that one buyer; but I also despise the sleazy aspects of arbitrage and would rather just give things to people that would appreciate it.)

Dumpster diving, I recovered a Billy Madison (Special-Ed) DVD as well as a VHS tape from 1986 of the Velveteen Rabbit (sentimental. . . Actually, quite a few of the books I've left in the dumpster are books and movies I recall only seeing when I was in elementary; but I kind of thought it would be cool to see if my nephews would watch any of them, which I doubt this one would be.)
I skipped over most of it, and am looking at the deleted scenes of Billy Madison which are the same length as the above.

Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe) had Bush Wars involving the SAS as well as the Selous Scouts (Special Forces) and would involve mercenaries that were often accused of war crimes. I knew of someone from that country that I was wondering if he used a fake name (but apparently he didn't because he was called back to Zimbabwe to face a trial for war crimes,) as he disappeared and seemed to evade knowing his whereabouts following an assault of someone who was getting too close to his wife who he also bought an expensive necklace for (before or after the assault at a party; not sure. . .) and he confided to being responsible directly for over 30 people killed in the conflict region. I kept a document when I was working for my step-dad at an aviation supply business, where this guy worked circa 2002, and was later going through digital scans for data backup-- where he signed his name "Rumo Ellouold (sp?)"--and which I was hoping could be used to find out who is/was. I still don't know any more about the guy other than he was kind of incomprehensible when speaking due to variation of his accent. He was a white dude during the time when Africa was still overcoming apartheid governments.

Re: What are you watching?
Rather than download 15 gigs for 10 minutes of gameplay, I'll just watch this.
This is more of a teaser for the larger refresh of the Alone in the Dark series.
Part 1 was found in good condition in the Half-Price Books dumpster, and sells for about $25+
*60 minute video that I can't find online, though I suspect it might really be a part 1 and 2 video combined total, since this is the first half of it (and it came out in 1977, though was rereleased, so that might also be a re-edited version combining other footage following his death.)
Part 2 should also be also be 30 minutes to around 1 hour (though is also listed separately according to online listings, when this footage is part of the 1 volume DVD I have. I think the DVD I have simply reedited the footage into a continuous cabin building and foraging project, along with updated people on his leaving the cabin due to old age a couple years prior to his death, only to released it on DVD after he died.
A recent video of someone visiting that cabin (which would have been built in the 1960s judging by his referencing his age in his 50s in the video and he was born in 1916. It would make sense that his camera he was using looks of similar quality to the Zapruder film.)
The guy is a bit of a legend (just google the name Richard "Dick" Proenneke,) and I came across his book online, and didn't make the connection about the video until just now.
Also, I revisited my Amazon seller page and discovered all the listings are gone and Amazon has also either had pressure placed on them to restrict resellers of used books or to generally cull most of the sellers in generally (probably because many of them are fly by night Chinese sellers taking over the marketplace) which is especially impacting books and video which will now require approval and a recent track record of sales (so perhaps it's assumed by Amazon that hacked accounts could easily be used to start listing on Amazon?) I also am now wondering if using a seller page name that I have to be listed as a company/entity with the IRS if even just to sell a few crappy books? I'm starting to rethink the used marketplace.
A seller mentions their listings disappeared

I came across a hardcover physics book that seems to only be sold directly to schools for about $300(+), when otherwise digital or loose leaf printed versions exist for about half that price (still expensive) and a persons name and year of attending was written in the opening flap. Since the book store doesn't sell college books, even if the name wasn't on it it still seems like something that could be resold elsewhere to recoup the cost of such a book (and am wondering if a high school student attended school and never returned the book after holding onto it.)
https://school.nelson.com/fundamentals- ... p-edition/
Some of the other books (including another Physics book) still goes for $70, 30, etc.) Anatomy and Physiology book versions from 1990s Index looks identical to the newer ones from a few years ago, and only had some graphical updates to make it seem more modern (though still in that quirky way that anatomy is always demonstrated, though now with retarded yoga poses, etc.) Even a Calculus book on the back says it's also been resold as the previous edition, so it might just be some weird way to resell the same material but appearing to "update" it (so perhaps things like Standard Model Physics, shouldn't be in a book referencing Physics and Electricity from the early 1960s but it still hardly get's any mention in Physics textbooks from recent years (most all of which involve basics with some slightly advanced math symbols, but if you were to get into the real extreme versions of physics, it seems to only get hinted at in the calculus book, involving some of the geometry of deep space concepts (though no actual mention of physics.)
Anyway, there seems to be a loophole, but I don't advise selling through FBA (that should only make reference when you attach an "address label" printed with the listing reference to each book/DVD and send it off to an Amazon warehouse where they 'Fulfill By Amazon,' which I don't believe he is doing.

A spiritual successor to Godfather, Mario Puzo also wrote 'The Sicilian' which incorporates characters from the Godfather in the book (though the movie had any references exculpated due to copyright with the movies.) The first two movies comprise of the book, whereas Sicilian was only vaguely related.
If a proper alternative to Puzos earlier work was made, this might be a closer comparison than The Sicilian movie, which starred the Highlander actor, Christopher Lambert (and perhaps compared to the TV actor, might reflect a similar trajectory where the TV miniseries or show was better than a movie such as Godfather 3 (which was entirely written for Francis Coppola.)
