People that watch Gaia are those who felt they missed the comet that Marshall Applewhite talked about.

Also, many of the people are known conmen such Billy Carson aka William T. Karlson, but their followers are the types that gloss over criminality and buy toilet paper rolls on their website for $5, which is what he was peddling during Covid. He also copied known fraudulent materials from another conman from the 1950s who published a book claiming to channel Thoth, (which wasn't unique for that time period.)

David Wilcox claimed to be the reincarnation of Edgar Cayce, and claimed to channel the Egyptian god Ra, and was the main attraction for Gaia until he invited his friend along to get in on the sweet Gaia kool-aid money.

The problem with companies like this is that they tend to exploit gullibility and seem to intentionally be deceptive, and even promoted "exclusive" fake content such as with the "alien mummies" (which were real mummies that had parts of the hands chopped off, and covered in plaster.) Companies like this are rarely held accountable, and can often be perpetrated by companies that also sell fraudulent materials, such as Amazon which peddles fake remedies and suppresses reviews that discloses the factual FDA raids on products they sell, or deletes reviews and bans people that disclose the background of the books claiming to cure people by changing their alkalinity (and if "Dr. Sebi" was still alive, I can almost guarantee he would have a spot on Gaia. . .) The program is the continuation of a long line of snake oil salesmen, and it reminds me of the Crescent Hotel in Eureka Springs Arkansas that would charge people a lot of money as a hospice care center and extract their tumors, claiming that when they died of cancer that they died of natural causes. . . Cancer in this case is the suspension of good judgment that's exploiting people's desire to escape from situations they feel they have no control over.

Capitalism brings out the best and worst of society.

The above video is one of the best insights on ufo/uap and hypothetical intelligent civilizations that I've heard, and he seems to only moonlight on the topic (he's mostly involved with biotech.)

The NES Karate game was likely based on an idea like this (different levels, different bosses) and resembled Turbografx 'China Warrior' which was really just a Bruce Lee knock off.) Also, Shenmue 3 seems to take a lot of inspiration from some of the movies (or at least, it takes a retro perspective of developing new skills to overcome the opponent. I'm seeing a lot of Asian made movies shown virally on Facebook that tend to get overlooked in the west, and theirs one of an actor pretending to be Bruce Lee while he was still young, that pretends to be a biopic, and they absolutely never refer to what movie it actually comes from, and every one of the videos is speed up by about 1.5x, though I think it's 'The Legend of Bruce Lee' (2008) aka 'Li Xiao Long chuan qi' which is a TV series. (the FB link of him being challenged by a strong Japanese dude https://fb.watch/dzDlLAlAkA/)

Often in Chinese films clearly have a lot of antipathy towards the Japanese, and almost every contest is of some foreign dude acting like an uncouth barbarian, and you would swear it was a propaganda film (which it probably is.) I suppose looking into the Nanking Massacre should probably explain it.

An old one I never heard of until I got so pissed at commercials that I switched to a commercial-free radio station:

And a new one that I was sure was from the 70s until I looked it up:

WHO IS AMERICA? EPISODE 107 TVMA
Who Is America?, Season 1, Episode 7: Comedian Sacha Baron Cohen explores the diverse individuals, from the infamous to the unknown across the political and cultural spectrum, who populate our unique nation. Season finale. TVMA

Only a Season 1 with 7 episodes were made (and I think you could tell people were catching onto his characters.) Some of the characters were obnoxious for a reason which is typical SBC.) This should show a link to all 7 episodes:
https://www.google.com/search?q=who+is+ ... e&ie=UTF-8

Anneliese Michel was likely prone to extreme religiosity following epileptic seizures which started at age 16, culminating in eventually being deranged. People still believe that proof of paranormal/demonic activity are present (ambient noise that seems to occur around them which sounds like growling, though none of which was recorded outside of her snarls,) are interpretations from people being caught up in the elevated activity, that the "perfect storm" of both Anneliese playing into the belief, exacerbates her symptoms. Supposedly just before she died she "returned to normal," but it might have been she constructed a mental personae of identifying as a demon-possessed victim, all of which could be depersonalization. https://skepticalinquirer.org/exclusive ... se-michel/
Audio: https://allthatsinteresting.com/annelie ... l-exorcism

People that work in mental health (as nurses or something to that extent) seem to believe she isn't your typical mental health case, but anyone whose seen the mental health practices of that time would realize this case didn't seem too different from how people acted towards patients, and if the people around them are only aggravating the symptoms, whose to expect a patient/victim to not react in any other way than ferral-like?

Putting it another way:
If the people around them are only aggravating the symptoms, whose to expect a patient/victim to not react in any other way than feral-like? I think she developed a thyroid issue due to self-imposed dietary restrictions resulting from depersonalization, and it compounded her mental health issues. The "perfect storm" of both Anneliese playing into the belief, exacerbates her symptoms. Supposedly just before she died she "returned to normal," but it might have been she constructed a mental persona of identifying as a demon-possessed victim, just as someone with OCD will overattribute fear in the environment to mundane concerns of dust or other environmental contaminants, and since religion actually "institutionalized guilt as a virtue," it can be extremely compelling to be "bad" to reward the "virtue of guilt."

As this video mentions, most places lose a significant tax revenue and often undermine the number of people employed. More than likely companies like this that move into small towns are also driving up cost of living, so anyone that wasn't hired on (most likely from out of town) would end up being forced to move to another area.

Question
What is the connection between living systems theory and paranormal experiences?

Answer
Are you asking this question from an ontological framework or a dialectical dualism perspective, as in a mind-body problem from a culturally affirming, tribalistic, identity?) ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mind%E2%80%93body_problem )

From how I understand it, civilization was spurred on by its relevance to the world and cosmos all around it, and in so defining and predicting the ebb and flow of persistence in understanding itself, developed a process by which to communicate with the past, by studying the procession of the stars and important events, and through depicting such as drawings on cave walls, by discovering impermanence they then could account for rudimentary understandings and recognizing something which endured beyond their lifetime. Perhaps people seek affirmation of ideas that persist over time, and in constructing accounts of ideas and testing them against available constructs of belief, people gradually accept accounts that seem consistent with an ontological framework?

Do people interpret a novel experience and immediately conclude that such a thing was a paranormal experience and does such thinking and use of language truly define a genuine belief in experience because it has been “identified” as such, and is this what Wittgenstein was suggesting of a culturally defined idiom through use of language, or is it merely because such an experience has no other reference point to evaluate from an individual’s senses, that suggesting such a thing could not have been based off flawed analysis?

How do people define something from which no other parameter can be referenced and through which identity as defined by an idea, phrase, or ontological conclusion inchoate from a cultural trope or isolated framework of analysis? If a culture of time and place prohibited a belief can what is tolerated really be an individual's identity by being spoken as such, or is it a make-believe construct we use to justify an amalgamation of contemporary judgments within predefined rationality?

You might as well ask whether science is a religion because it is based on faith in a belief? Is science immutable to rationality and do people persist in proclaiming themselves rational, when such belief is based on tribalistic identity?

Perhaps one perspective to consider is the late John E. Mack, M.D., the Psychiatrist who was a Professor of Harvard, who very much went against the establishment by seeing people claiming to be ‘abductees,’ and eventually coming to terms with the belief that they were having unique experiences consistent with other so-called abductees, and that current theories of psychiatry were “at odds” with such belief (and perhaps rightfully so?) Dr. Mack would write several books on the topic and the last one he wrote, called ‘Passport to the Cosmos,’ suggested that shamanistic traditions were intimately interwoven in the traditions of society and that the universal template of those traditions is a continuity held intimate with those who claim abduction encounters. During Mack’s tenure, he was harangued by colleagues much like Jordan Peterson has been for claiming that compelled speech was a crime because it was inextricable from one’s autonomy as an individual and freedom of expression, and likewise, with choosing to tolerate a belief it restricts the platform of ideas which erode dialectical conversation that is necessary for society to be cohesive within civil discourse. Arguably there is a time and place for everything but without the ability to understand the “unseen world” as science and religion attempt to communicate through study, what we perceive as “right” can just become another double-speak.

Cave of Forgotten Dreams
by Herzog
https://watchdocumentaries.com/cave-of- ... en-dreams/

Finally got around to watching this 'The Shooting Party' (1985)

Filming location: https://g.page/Knebworth-house-official?share

It's a commentary of the aristocratic societies in a changing era, transitioning away from the "haves" when confronted by the disillusionment of the way-of-life content with excess, and the "Lord of the Estate" Sir Randolph Nettleby (James Mason) is perhaps similar to how Louis xiv at deaths knell and realizing the excess in parity to the society they are being content with acknowledging as having dominion over--is a necessary evil--is not tantamount to actually living if by virtue everything is ephemeral and transitory?

Auto-translate only works for the speech, though still functional.

I think I recall a film made by Herzog Directed in Oklahoma during the 1970-1980s that had a similar tone to Kasper Hauser, but the only thing I can find similar to these are a documentary on blind people. . . https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Werner_Herzog_filmography

And this was made in 2011 and isn't it, and mostly centers around this guy. . . ( https://theforgivenessfoundation.org/20 ... tion-date/ )

It's about. . . exorcism of a 1-year old child. . . Seriously.

But $20 is $20, right? . . .

I suggest reading the comments as people often reveal their own encounters. . . I can recall reading accounts from people in Abductee forums from over 20 years ago, describing seeing crafts flying overhead while in a school playground, where upon running home they then had missing time and continued experience with abduction.

The van Gogh family: Living with the legacy of the tormented genius, Vincent
https://www.smh.com.au/entertainment/ar ... vof7w.html

I was noticing that Vincent's brother Theo (who died months after him due to syphilis that caused him to have dementia https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Theo_van_ ... ler)#Death) had a wife that likely preserved their legacy and allowed it to endure, and had she not done so, it's entirely possible that no one would even know of him (but also, she also had a son named after his father that was in charge of the Van Gogh museum well into the 1970s.)

Also, it's widely said that Vincent cut his ear off as a result of some snub from a woman though more likely it was because Paul Gauguin was leaving (though initially thought to be Madagascar, he ended up in French Polynesia) and he spiraled into a mania of sorts which caused him to depersonalize, which seems somewhat accurately presented in the film. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paul_Gauguin (who is also considered one of the douchiest people to ever live https://edtimes.in/world-famous-artists ... n-reality/ )

You could say, Paul Gauguin's presence in French Guinea is "still felt" today.

He abandoned his wife and five children, pestered his friends for money, and fled to Tahiti. Not only was he selfish, inconsiderate, a bad father and husband, but later, he was proven to be a pedophiliac when he took three native child brides, aged 13, 14, and 14 in Tahiti.

He managed to give syphilis to all of those child brides and other local women who he was seeing on the side.
