--> It's BS? Around this time period (1961,) a lot of nonsense purporting to be legit has always been made up. The average crap that becomes popularized is complete nonsense peddled by fools.

A similar hypothetical was made in the late 1880s, in a book by Ignatius Donnelly, titled, 'Atlantis: the Antediluvian World.' I suspect Graham Hancock took a lot of inspiration from that book (which though intriguing, doesn't hold up well.)

I would suggest getting an early copy to examine (I have a Gordon Press publication reprint, which has original images used to depict the hypothetical evidence of an ancient culture that influenced modern society.) Most publications are a bad representation of how such a book would originally have looked. A PDF of the first edition (kind of a large file) https://ia902704.us.archive.org/28/item ... 00donn.pdf

Tanis ruins show the original capital of Egypt (which is referred to as Zoan in the Bible as mentioned in Ezekiel 30)
https://fb.watch/eZvvVVyC5y/

I would argue that people in Tanis were incinerating the stone in order to crack it and utilize the stone for other purposes, which is basically what was done to create the statues on Easter Island (hence deforestation) as their are other instances in the Bible such as the city of Ai being mentioned, which literally means "ruin," suggesting the writers of the Old Testament were embellishing with what little they knew (and such a city as Tanis would have been destroyed for centuries by the time they visited it, or wrote about it.)

This game sold 17 million copies and I'm just now noticing it?

Supposedly it plays like crap on modern PC.

It's basically Dark Souls with fantasy elements in an open world. Most of the hyped franchises are never something I can get into. I own every Witcher game and haven't played more than 6 hours, and I can usually play a game from start to finish without ever leaving the PC. Dark Souls just seems like an oversaturated and unrealistic depiction, that forces you to play it because the gameplay (which is redundant and repetive droll.)

It's the shallow kind of gameplay that never satisfies and forces you along in order to justify why you have wasted your time with it (a bit like World of Warcraft.)

The Dark Souls series is overrated and the community is full of toxic fanboys.

Some videos (business along with plumbing) : https://www.youtube.com/c/jonesacnaples

I was looking over some plumbing videos for AC condensate drain issues leading to the bathroom (and though his video didn't address that specifically, it did correlate to common issues that many people probably have when the AC is running constantly, namely that the drain builds up mildew.)

I ultimately resorted to using the hose blowing out from an Oreck (which heated and warped the hose attached) to force anything through the drain, but also the AC unit had an air hose sticking up that you can blow through the top to force air through; with the bathroom drain connected it most likely had mildew and other things (which may have been made worse by incorporating other things.)

A full day of sticking 35% hydrogen peroxide, commercial grade sanitizer, Sodium hydroxide (NaOH)/Lye (which may have actually hardened any soap buildup because I was using homemade soap which has more fat content so as not to cause dryness) and hot water with dish soap, along with baking soda and vinegar (don't do it because it does nothing for fat buildup.

I would use intervals of hot water along with removal of water build up if it didn't work, along with using the plunger to agitate it (and if a large clog is built up doing this has a good chance of causing leaks or other issues.)

The A/C plumbed into the bathroom is likely the main reason for clogs, since it has a constant slow drip.

Apparently, Mexico prides itself in having 15% of edible insects in the world, and has a similar market to Asian cultures. 2 billion people around the world eat insects on a regular basis, and 1/5 people in the USA claim they would eat an insect (which might just include escargot which I have eaten and actually purposely bought some with shells to make French dishes.) I tend to think caviar could also fall into the category of disgusting but commonplace. which I've tried on numerous occasions.

https://mexicodailypost.com/2021/05/26/ ... h-insects/

$500 pesos is about $25 USD.

Usually, when an insect is anywhere near food, people have the immediate urge to throw it in the trash. Even handling a cockroach with the hands is disgusting, and most of the insects in Mexico are acquired from the wild (where they could be exposed to pesticides and diseases.)

Why This Computer Scientist Says All Cryptocurrency Should “Die in a Fire”
https://www.currentaffairs.org/2022/05/ ... -in-a-fire

If banks restrict financial options in third world countries, their is a reason for it. The video about crypto suggests that access to crypto will free restrictions that people have, and yet just like the volunteerism video it suggests that people who have no clue about the culture in which they are interacting with HAVE NO FUCKING BUSINESS assuming they even begin to understand what is going on over there.

It's a bunch of entitled narcissistic shitheads who likely already come from priveleged backgrounds (the more well-grounded in understanding human nature and not prone to FOMO, will ultimately undermine successful trades.)

It's a playground for psychopaths.

They use the excuse that Nixon (who was responding to a crisis) enabled fiat currency to take on extreme Ponzi-like proportions, as justification for why Bitcoin should be supported (imagine it like a giant pie in which the entire world would rather seek control over it.) If snobbish elite attending orgies are as giving with their tips, or Bitcoin investors would rather squander $100,000 on some party (which probably looked very similar to the orgie) then I can imagine the poorer parts of the world have little to embrace of it.

I saw someone on Quora who was talking about his wearing diapers and being picked on at work, where the employer had to scorn the employees responsible. . . The diaper thing is probably what the rat utopia experiment was kind of suggesting when talking about the end of the world scenarios.

This person charges $200 to $2000 for sessions, which sounds similar to what prostitutes do. . . (I advise not to look at the twitter page as you will find a lot of weird stuff, including nudity.)

It's pretty crazy and you can glean a very specific audience involved with the stuff. It seems pretty evident to me that BDSM (which that stuff likely falls under) is extremely narcissistic (or at the very least relies upon poor coping mechanisms which underlies a deeper issue.)

The last of affordable housing (a house costing $100,000 in the 1930's is worth 30 million today.)

All the while places around the world are going through demolishing houses by forcing people out that owned them, to make way for newer (more desirable?) construction, even if they were very much livable (if not more preferable to more modern homes because they had a lot of insulation compared to cheaper modern building materials.)

A big issue is people like this are more common than not, and it's an issue of tackling social issues and not compromising people's ability to survive.
