I'm surprised Navalny is still alive.

Given the shit going down in Ukraine, it's obvious Putin is a full blown psychopath who feels no remorse about anything. One might think a suspicious Navalny death would prove inconvenient for Putin from a p.r. perspective, but given the ridiculous level of propaganda on the state controlled Russian media these days, Navalny's passing could be easily glossed over or simply never mentioned.

Unbelievable that he returned to Russia. Must have a death wish.

Perusing the composition of the Black Sea Fleet https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_Sea ... _of_Battle

Thoughts/Opinion:
1. The loss of the Moskva seems significant but not crippling - they still have a lot of frigates etc.
2. The threat of further losses from land based missile attacks is probably more significant.
3. Putin has put significant resources into upgrading his navy. Many of the ships in the fleet were recently built.
4. Crimea will be a major sticking point in any negotiations to end the war. Its strategic importance in controlling the Black Sea is paramount. Since Russia now considers it part of Russia, nuclear escalation is possible if it is threatened.

5. Putin is a flaming asshole.

He threatened to use nukes to keep it just after Igor (Streklov) Girkin and his Spetnaz "Little Green Men" took it over in April/March 2014.

I see he's threatening to stomp his feet now Sweden has asked to join NATO. Finland isn't far behind. The Swedes were considering reintroducing conscription due to the regular border incursions by the Russians.

I was in Riga in 2019 and the place was crawling with Russians on holiday... I wonder what regular Russians think about their world shrinking so much and so fast?

Two zookeepers found shot dead by Russians in rooms at the Kharkiv Zoo...

Wonder how Putin is going to sugar coat that for the animal lovers?

Obvious who ordered this, isn't it?
Neither of the men were on an international sanctions list in the Ukraine-Russia conflict.

I see Dmitry Kiselev (Putins mouthpiece) spent a bit of time on Russian TV saying that Russia should set off an underwater 100 megaton nuclear drone and create a 500 metre high radioactive tsunami and wipe out Ireland and Britain.

Seems like a nice chap. Not quite sure what Irelands done to piss him off but...
