ashi and Ptah were in my dream. Ptah was in the beginning of the dream and I dunno what we were talking about but I do remember we were laughing. ashi was with me later on a bus, where a cop offered to take us out to dinner and she rolled her eyes. xD

Patch-prompted wild dream excerpt:

My tonsils or some other imaginary new body part in my throat had split in half (the halves were still joined together) and I could open my mouth and see them kind of flopping around and occasionally blocking my esophagus.

I took a saw and sawed out a section of my neck so that I could examine them more clearly.

My dream logic was thus:

Will my head just plop down onto the next section of neck that I didn’t remove? No, because my spine is still intact.

I did not take time to consider breathing, and it wasn’t an issue.

Let’s test eating. I can still swallow food but it’s much harder because a substantial part of my musculature is missing now and the bolus is weaker/ harder to move down into my stomach.

Why didn’t I just bleed to death? Let’s look in a mirror. Oh I see, my arteries moved over and were not sawn through. I just barely nicked one, I can see the tiniest bit of blood welling up, just there.

Have folks here experienced recurring dreams?

I had a recurring dream recently where I wasn't able to run fast.

I used to have similar recurring dreams, except I was crossing a road. I saw the car coming, had plenty of time to walk across, but the further I got into the street the harder it got to move, like I was in quick sand or something, until all I could to was struggle to move at all. And of course, the car just kept coming.

Another common dream in the past was signing up for a university class and then forgetting all about it until finals day, followed by a desperate search for where the damn class was meeting so I could take the test. I think this is a pretty common dream for many people.
The same.

I don't remember dreams so much any more, except sometimes I get a passing relief that someone is still alive that I dreamt had died.

But I can recall five recurring dream archetypes from when I was younger:

- At home in the countryside, escaping out my bedroom window to get away from something or someone, but as I escape, the wind picks up and I cannot go further. I'm just running on the spot waiting to find out what catches up with me.

- Variants on the exam or class thing, where I turn up and don't know jack shit.

- Falling dreams. I read at some point that these are common, and relate to your neck muscles relaxing. Could be bullshit.

- Naked dreams, like I need to do public speaking or something and I'm naked.

- Sexy dreams, though I never recall having had an actual wet dream ever.

I'm pretty happy to not remember my dreams so much any more.

I am trying to understand why in God's name I've woken up for the second night in a row now with the same New Kids On The Block song ringing in my ears as if it was really playing.

I dreamt I put some little furry pet in a rhinoceros cage without realizing it and the rhino ate it. I told Spanky and Alfalfa that I made a big mistake buying the rhino. I led Spanky to it. While looking at it, I released a bird where some other predator got it. I left the building I was in at night and wondered what my next step would be.

I don’t know that song and there’s no fucking way I’m looking it up based on it’s commandeering of your subconscious

I swear this time I woke up and almost didn't notice the song fading in my ears, like I was just used to it. But when I did, I was like, "Seriously?!"

And of course you know the song, you just don't know that you know.
