UK gets 0 points though so glad I tuned in for that.
Brexit is now complete.

I watched that video again for the umpteenth time (this video has everything, complete with race, class and sex issues!) and then googled a news piece about the two kids featured in it. First, they're both my age, 1979ers. He's an evangelist pastor these days and she's a veterinarian.

Edit: The singer was murdered a few years ago. :/

Well holy shit. This existentialist monstruosity is absolutely mesmerizing. And she's got some gestures that seem to suggest she'd be more comfortable as a raging rock star.

Holy shit indeed. For what it's worth, in 1965 France had had its own Vietnam and followed it up with a second Vietnam in Algeria.

Sure, sure, but also most yé-yé girls were born during or shortly after the Nazi occupation and were aggressively exploited by sexual predator writer/manager/mentor figures French culture to this day largely refuses to inhibit, let alone expel, all for the sake of the purity of their artistic output.
