The May date is throwing me. All the other dates are very near either solstice or equinox dates, but May is out in left field.

I better suggest the cities are connected by either the Summer/Winter solstice or the Spring/Fall equinox just in case Utisz meant March and not May in that first one.

What connects these places on these dates?
Shortest day for one, longest for the other
Here's what I checked for that (I only checked Buenos Aries and Leeds, June 21):

Only true for the summer and winter solstices, but not for the other dates.

I guess I can say that y'all are on the right track, just missing the thing.

Name the series of stories and cartoons whose main characters are depicted collectively in the following:
Lone ranger? I read in real life he was a former slave, and the American Indian could be Tanto.

Had to think for a bit on that one, but I guess all places on Earth have the same moon phase at all times.

That could mean that the main characters are all the same type. Some of the pictures are clearly negative, so maybe they should all be interpreted as negative. The detective indicates sneakiness. The trash means they're trash. Fake hair color girl means they're liars. Real estate pilgrim means they're swindlers. The slaves and the beating pictures are the obviously bad ones. I'm not sure what the last one is. A judge, bailiff, and a witness before a jury and audience, maybe?

A Google search for "main characters are bad" returns a lot of results about Anime, so I thing I'll look into that.

Not anime. There is an underlying concept.

Do y'all prefer more hints on Friday, or will I just give the answers?

I can say that y'all are close on 2 of the remaining questions, or at least I have seen answers that seem to be heading in the right ballpark. I think the 3rd question, in terms of the characters, y'all haven't gotten so close yet.
