Up to you.

I haven't really got a clue about those cartoons but I will take a couple of guesses:

1) Sesame Street - the trash can, detective, hair brushing girl, natives/pilgrims kind of fit in with sesame street themes, the bottom 3 not so much though.
2) The Bible. Doesn't really fit, but you a wide spectrum of characters in those stories, good, bad, etc. So what the hell, worth a guess. ;)

Name the series of stories and cartoons whose main characters are depicted collectively in the following:
The Maxx? There's a hot blonde, a Pink Fairy, a janitor, and "One of the dominant concepts of The Maxx is that every human being has a spirit animal."

A good hint would be to tell us whether the answer is one of the Top 10 Darkest Animated Shows.

My first guess was Jack Chick tracts, but I couldn't find any of those images associated with them.

Terrytoons was an animation studio, so this one was extra difficult. In contrast, "Looney Tunes is an American animated comedy short film series produced by Warner Bros." Warner Bros wouldn't be considered a series, but I guess a company name that has "toons" in it sometimes would :?: .

In case Ferrus is wrong, I'm guessing Sally Sargent.

I think the trail is cold on this one, but I can give some more hints tomorrow.

I think the trail is cold on this one,
That is a hint. It could be a newspaper or magazine or a really old series of some sort, pre-TV. I looked up civil war and political cartoon compilations. I was thinking of radio shows that were also cartoons. The answer could be a genre. I wonder if the car tire would be used in the beating photo if the series pre-dates cars.

I think the last picture is the French parliament. That may be the biggest hint. I guess I'll research that angle more.

Will post some hints for remaining questions now!
