So is anyone else staying up late to watch the 50km racewalking?
With modern training techniques I hear they could move at a more moderate pace than ever. I'm moderately interested but I have some fart prank videos to catch up on.

I got your jest Park.

I wonder who (if anybody) really watches those long distance competitions end to end (marathon, walkathon, long distance biking). Just show me the last 5 minutes, even though I realize the race is usually decided by then.

I’m the same but I know some people who will watch events like e.g. the Tour de France on and off for 3 weeks, I don’t get it.

On one slow afternoon during the 2016 or 2012 Games I actually watched the 50 km race walk. The focus of interest was the front-runner -- uh, front-walker, and not just because he was in front. This guy had a history of taking the early lead then having his body quit on him before the finish. Could he beat his track record, or would there be another breakdown? It was like watching an auto race anticipating a wreck.

He DNF'ed again.

The description reminds me of the Stephen King Novel “The Long walk” :-).

The women's golf final was quite good... The Indian boys at work will be dejected; again.

Still ahead of Germany in the medal table. Wonder how long that will last?
Appears ye're still doing well. Thought ye were a one trick monkey with the rugby.

I prefer the old school version: pedestrianism.

It's been such an awesome games. On at the perfect time and someone in for a chance for a medal almost every day.

Thought we might be in for a chance of another couple of golds today but will have to settle for a bronze. The girls "braids of power" let them down in the K4 500
