I thought I'd make a rhyme and call this A Thread for the Dead but I Googled it and it's not an original rhyme so to avoid being unoriginal I called it Tributes, once again mistakenly putting it in the tags box which is larger in every dimension than the subject box.

Richard Simmons and Dr. Ruth. They say it comes in threes, so maybe Shelley Duvall's death of two days ago completes the set. Simmons and Ruth seem to have died of natural causes. Duvall had some issue for the past year that I haven't seen disclosed.

I liked watching Richard Simmons on Letterman, Howard Stern, etc. Dr. Ruth appeared on the scene in my pubescent years. Didn't need her then. Don't need her now either, but I think we should all fake sexual disfunction in tribute to her.

I just noticed Shelley Duvall died (on a Stanley Kubrick group) but didn't know about Richard Simmons.

Yup, he went down and was bleeding from his head. It sounds like he was helped back up and he acted OK, but there were lies about the severity of his Covid, and when Reagan was shot, so who knows how bad it is.

Shannen Doherty died of cancer. I remember several years ago when she made news for posting to a fan message board about her. The person who ran it didn't handle it right - she started a thread where everyone could ask Shannen questions. Shannen never responded to them, which she was right for doing.

I knew this would lead to some random thing that would rally these types of people.

I finally hear about who the shooter was. I was going to say he looks like an INTP but after hearing him in the video I have my doubts (though some are commenting that the person speaking in the video is only pretending to be the shooter, and the guy may never have actually spoken about Trump on social media.

Here is a satire about the incident (a bit like how the Evil empire in Star Wars can't shoot worth shit and when targeting the enemy only shoots their own, since ironically the shooter was a Republican.)

From what is known about the incident, the guy climbed on top of the building and shot at him, causing people to be scared. Usually when I use the app I open it up when star gazing because some weird crap has happened when using it, but otherwise in the last year I've rarely if ever opened the app. It might just be an apophenia phenomenon (though I highly doubt that from what I've experienced using it.)

I know Bob Newhart was old (94), but when articles don't provide details on old people's state of health at death, it makes my efforts to live forever that much harder.

Teri Garr died at 79. She's one of the people I'd search for in the news once in a while out of curiosity, along with Tina Louise and Linda Ronstadt, to see if they did anything. I used to see Teri Garr all the time on Letterman.
