Over the years, I've found three of my childhood cups that I haven't seen in over 40 years (maybe 50!) on Ebay. Buggs Bunny, Fred Flintstone, and now the oldest yet - Tommee Tippee! My only memory of Tommee Tippee was of a character on it (I MAY have remembered it was a bear) holding the same cup, and I liked the recursiveness of it. I had no idea it was a popular cup. Though the website still seems to be getting maintained and showing updates by the guy (who published some books that I don't recommend looking into too much, though the last time he published was when his wife was alive in 2014, so I assume she was his Editor,) practically nothing about it has changed since 2004. They are new agey and lived in New Mexico, and it kind of shows. . . Books with titles like, 'Noda: My Alien Spirit Guide' with the opening intro: "My late wife Sharon Gill Oester was a Trance Medium Channeler". . . while also giving themselves titles like Reverend from the NYI of Photography, which are probably not from the same institution (I believe they did a scammy mail-order degree mill.)

Some of the EVP are worth checking out, as you will find some interesting ones (and if you use good headphones, that is always advised.) It's pretty clear that some have distinct mannerisms that sound like they are coming from a different time and place from anyone living in the last 100 years; theirs just a certain authenticity about them, even if they sometimes heavily edit their audio and don't provide much subtext nor hints about what is going on. A few of the times it was evident that more than one EVP is present, which is something I encountered when I was recording by myself.

And even though they call themselves professional photographers, I see absolutely zero proof of that, and I don't recommend checking their photographic evidence, as I can spot some very amateur mistakes that they considered proof (such as lens flare and what appears to be clear evidence that a lens strap was blocking the lens on a crappy point and shoot camera,) and these were clearly done during the early digital camera era, and the audio recorders were also not the best versions of that era either. I know the photographic phenomenon they did capture probably is real in some instances, so it is worth checking out, and I've also captured such things on several occasion, though also believe what I captured was very different from most instances of such reported evidence people generally make, but also using different recording medians, a very clear and apparent apparition up close to the camera.

Even during the times these were recorded I managed to get substantially clearer and even more astounding audio that for whatever reason were possibly interpreted as fakes simply because they sounded too clear, or people didn't have any reason to consider me credible. Even though I've also bought a new recorder (since the Sony ICD-BM1 doesn't have the same memory card that is considered functional with newer OS's or memory card reader devices) that I've yet to actually spend even 1/10th of the time I spent in 2004 alone, despite having such a recorder for some years now. I kind of consider doing more research with it but haven't been nearly as inspired, and I don't think anything has changed in the last 20 years to justify serious investigation into the EVP phenomenon.

Even though I'm a bit critical of some of their work, I also sort of went down a similar rabbit hole about the phenomenon (to where it's easy to possibly think too deeply about the phenomenon, to where you aren't sure you aren't fooling yourself.) Proof can sometimes be a double-edged sword, where you know something exists that isn't internal to biases; but because it's your own personal experience, you can fool your perceptions into believing something that you can no longer prove isn't from making mistakes or going down a rabbit hole that ultimately discredits your entire premise for convincing other people you should be taken seriously.

And even more-so, what constitutes seriousness when much of what people use to justify it is conforming to what is deemed culturally acceptable (because we are slaves to social acceptance and a need to fit in in order to survive in a society that sells itself out any chance it gets.)
