A few days ago I remembered a recurring dream I think I used to have. There's a breakthrough project I'm working on, I think a computer program. Are they still called that or is it code? Anyway, I'm almost done with the big project, but I don't think the dream is specific, and I don't actually work on it. I'm just thinking about it and glad it's almost done.

I think that was from the days (mid 80s) when I was inspired by Conway's Game of Life, or possibly just knew of it, from talk on a BBS, at the same time as I had the idea to create a similar simulator that I believed would be able to simulate the evolution of amazing things. My theory was that life as we know it could be created from physical things with some basic properties like movement and time and whatever else I was going to add. I looked for volunteers and found a guy but the project didn't get far. I basically quit for some reason.

Anyway, I had a lesser, web development version of that a few days ago, where I was thinking of my real life website, which is coming along nicely. I said something like "it's perfect" in my dream. Not as amazing a feeling as in the 80s but still nice.
