Re: What are you listening to?
Don't get too emotional now
My favorite track is.
KhoMha - Eartshine (The Khult Mix)
Good to see some progressive house/trance from South America.

Re: What are you listening to?
This could have used a few more audio engineers, though is pretty decent.
Hugh Laurie (Dr House, Black Adder, etc.)
Let Them Talk (namesake of his 2011 album) A Celebration of New Orleans Blues - 2011
Didn't It Rain (2013) Hugh Laurie
I didn't even know Ken Burns did this (Jazz documentary series)
Jazz (Ken Burns, 2001 docu-miniseries)
Hugh Laurie (an INFP) kind of reminds me of Robert Crumb (INTP and the animator of Fritz The Cat, Weirdo, Mister Natural, etc.) who also has a strong interest in classic blues/folk/jazz style of music. He mostly creates a catalog of existing music and doesn't perform, as far as I'm aware.
Robert Crumb - Hot Women (from Torrid Regions) (2003)

Another series (named after Ukrainian folk music though it's a mix of varieties)

in the 1950s a folk album collection came out that influenced many musicians in the coming decade, and was a big part of the revival of the style of music during the hippie era. It seems to have had a re-release in the 90s though I'm not finding too much info on it, and I believe the initial 3 volumes expanded to at least 4 ('Harry Smith's Anthology of American Folk Music, Vol. 4' which covers 1927-1940 circa 2000) , though it seems as if each disc should have been a volume (though according to the CD listings 6 discs are the original 3 volumes:
I assumed it was only on Vinyl: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anthology ... Folk_Music
CDS circa 1997 and rereleased 2000s https://www.oldies.com/product-view/40102M.html
Anthology of American Folk music (1952, circa 2000)
For some odd reason these two tracks were missing in that upload (and they were specific to the musician?)
1-06 Buell Kazee - Butchers Boy
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JDB8Cy2ggEo
1-07 Buell Kazee - The Wagoner's Lad
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Qm3xAb7Iwk
And after already saving those youtube videos to make mp3s, I discovered another archive that is complete with it in it:
Anthology of American Folk Music Vol 1-4 (1927-1940) compiled by Harry Smith
******
The difference between a professional recording studio (compared to the above which most likely didn't have the same luxury)
Something about Sade's music is reminiscent of Enigma which seemed to mostly exist around the early 90s, despite having a somewhat timeless quality.
Apollo (Ambient compilation) Belgian

TRANSONIC (970-1450km/h) Japan 1994 acid trance (sounds like Earthbound music in the third track )
Transonic 2 - Feedback (builds up to better music)
The Alan Parsons Project - Pyramid vinyl rip
Low - Double Negative (2021)

Re: What are you listening to?
78 rpm collection (Vol. 1-4) 1920-1940s
https://archive.org/details/78rpm-collection-1
https://archive.org/details/78rpm-collection-2
https://archive.org/details/78rpm-collection-3
https://archive.org/details/78rpm-collection-4
A ton of euphemisms (first track of collection 4 talks about the moon but also the "landscape," and talks about spooning. . .
Antonio Lucio Vivaldi (1678-1741)
https://archive.org/details/antonio-luc ... tion-vol-1
https://archive.org/details/antonio-luc ... tion-vol-2
https://archive.org/details/antonio-luc ... tion-vol-3
IV (possibly best track 268)
A lot more of the stuff
https://archive.org/details/@worldrambler
One of the more accessible is probably:
George Frideric Händel (1685–1759)
Sergei Sergeyevich Prokofiev (1891-1953)
Edvard Grieg (1843-1907 Norway) Peer Gynt (for Henrik Ibsen 1867 play)
Georg Philipp Telemann (1681-1767)
Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky (1840–1893)
Ludwig van Beethoven (1770–1827)
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1756–1791) for some reason only 1 collection, even if in his short life he created a significant amount
Franz Joseph Haydn (1732–1809) has 5 parts organized by category
Johann Sebastian Bach (1685–1750) has 8 regular collections and 7 other ones, (2 cantata, Vocal, organ, Orchestra, keyboard, etc) though some might be overlapping (update: Yes, the original collection might have come from a different set, but most all of the BMV numbers match up from what I checked, and just have German spelling instead of English translated names, which is probably not as important as types of music categorized. The BMV # (I believe it's the Bavarian or probably Baroque Music Vienna orchestra recordings) match up, and since most often the recordings go back to the 1950s and are rarely performed, it's probably the same music.
Goldberg Variations is what Bach is usually known for (and it's easy to confuse some of his work with Beethoven.)

More music that I'll need to go over
The Donkey Kong aquatic theme is one of the best.
https://www.zophar.net/music/nintendo-s ... ng-country
Chrono Trigger - Secrets of the Forest, Corridors of Time, Zeal Palace, etc.
https://www.zophar.net/music/nintendo-s ... no-trigger
Legend of Mana is always kind of unique (and I believe the entire soundtrack is something uncommon in games.)
https://www.zophar.net/music/playstatio ... nd-of-mana
Threads of Fate kind of reminded me of the aesthetics, but was more of an action game. I've mostly only played the demo which is the intro music where the theme song, 'Pass through the Forest,' always stuck with me.
